25 Feb New Podcast – Taz @ Market Square Bakery
In the latest episode of the Recovery Through Enterprise podcast, we meet Taz – the owner of the Market Square Bakery in Higham Ferrers who discusses with us the challenges the bakery have encountered over the last 12 months and the changes they’ve made as a result.
At the beginning of the Pandemic, Taz and his wife had only been running the bakery for about 7 months or so when the situation began to unfold and at the time, were trying very hard to maintain the reputation that the bakery had built up over 30 years. Trying not to change a winning formula too much – Taz suddenly found himself having to balance that desire ‘not to mix things up too much’, with a sudden need to implement a raft of new changes to help keep his business moving during lockdown as well as keeping staff safe.
A year on and the Bakery have introduced a number of new developments over the last 12 years which has modernised the business and helped to keep the local community well stocked in baked goods along the way to boot.
