23 Feb New Podcast – Jake Maunders @ Shire Fit
When it comes to fitness and training, one of the most important parts of the process is preparation and having a plan in place. As it is – for the gym owners and operators this strategy has proven to be very important over the last 12 months as well.
In the latest episode of the Recovery Through Enterprise podcast series, we talk to Jake Maunders from ShireFit in Wellingborough who shared their experiences of trying to pivot their business model – one that has been built on the model of in person service and groups of people gathering in the gym – to one that could support social distancing and online fitness.
By having a clear plan of action in place very early in 2020, the Shire Fit team were able to seamlessly move to an online delivery model to stay engaged with their customers and help people get their exercises fix all the way through lockdown. As restrictions lifted and visitors returned – the new regulations have also bought about a number of new changes at the gym that have bought unexpected benefits to users – proving that change isn’t necessarily always a a bad thing!
